How it works
Getting the truth off an iPhone usually means wrestling with iTunes, Finder, and a pile of guesswork. truth spores skips all of it — plug in your phone and it does the rest, right on your own computer.
We bypass iTunes entirely
The usual way
Virtually impossible for an iPhone user.
With truth spores
Before you start
A couple of minutes of prep and you’re set. Here’s everything you’ll need.
Any cable that connects your iPhone to your computer.
Your backup is copied to your computer so everything can be read locally. A few gigabytes of free space is plenty for most phones.
The first time you connect, your iPhone asks you to tap “Trust” and enter your passcode. That’s normal — it’s how your phone lets your own computer read it.
Your backup password — check this one first
If your iPhone backup is encrypted (many are — and encrypted backups actually hold more of your history), you’ll need that password to unlock it. It’s the “Encrypt Local Backup” password you set in iTunes or Finder — not your Apple ID password and not your phone passcode.
Can’t remember it? You’re not alone — people set it once and forget. truth spores walks you through finding it, and the app has built-in help for your options if it’s truly lost.
Four steps, start to finish
Connect it with a cable and truth spores detects it automatically — no iTunes, no Finder, no setup. Already have a backup? Use that instead.
truth spores shows the backups on your computer — with the device, iOS version, date, size, and whether it’s encrypted. If it is, you enter the password once; everything is unlocked and read locally, and never leaves your machine.
Pick the reports that matter — Call Log, Full Messages, Per-Contact Archive, Location History, or a Master Timeline that merges everything — and narrow to a date range to skip what you don’t. Each one runs entirely on your computer.
truth spores saves clean, timestamped reports right to your computer — open them, save them, share them. Organized so anyone can follow them, including the people who doubted you.
Done.

If you can plug in a phone, you can use it. Every step is guided in plain language.
We talk to your iPhone directly over the cable and handle the backup ourselves.
Reading, decrypting, and report-building all happen on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
